They rescued mama dog and puppies from steel yard, then realized ”mama” was actually ”dad”!

There is so much harm inflicted on defenseless animals every day. While more people do not harm animals directly, a huge fraction of which turns a blind eye to their suffering–which frankly is just as dangerous.

Hope for Paws got a call about a mama dog and her litter of puppies taking up residence in a steelyard. Eldad and his crew made haste to take the bunch off the streets and on to a better life.

Hope For Paws lured the furry cuties with a tasty snack and not too long after, the puppies showed up. There were three of them but mum was nowhere to be found.

They waited some more, until she finally revealed herself. They decided to captured her first knowing that it will be problematic to capture the puppers with mom loose.

After successfully catching mama dog, they focused on the puppies. The rescuers fed them treats and made them warm up to them a bit more before commencing their rescue!

As soon as the puppies were comfortable, they began what they came there to do–starting with one pupper.

He kicked and cried and put up a fight, like many dogs who has never had human contact would. They threw a towel on him and assured him that everything was ok. He eventually calmed down.

The remaining two dogs were visibly weary of the rescuers after the first pupper put up a fight. But the rescuers were more determined to rescue them than they were weary of their presence.

The capture of the second dog was very smooth. They cornered him immediately. He tried to put up a fight but there was nowhere for him to run. Plus, the towel they threw on him was very comforting.

The third puppy was a rather tricky one. As the only free puppy left, he felt alone and driven to a corner. Scared about what might happen to him, he was all over the place. He went through tight openings, and skimpy pipes and hidden corners.

They eventually captured him after struggling for sometime. It was apparent that he knew he was safe the moment Eldad placed him on his lap and wrapped him in a towel.

All the puppies were transported to Hope For Paws HQ. There, they found out that ”mamá” dog was actually a ”dad”. All this time, he had been taking care of the puppers like any good dad would.

Mama dog was nowhere to be found during the rescue. The staff at the steel yard told Eldad they would call him as soon as she appears.

Hope For Paws christened papa dog as Wonton, and then the puppies Noodles, Macaroni and Ravioli–names that will make you hungry.

And perhaps the best thing about this rescue is that each and every one of this dogs now has a loving home. It didn’t take long for them to be adopted.
