Living on the street is a hard life for anyone, especially a doggie, they really are happier in a loving hole with human company, this dog, Potate, or Tate for short, a stray puppy really longed for a family…
Well one day came along and she actually got a family of her own, then just the other side of the fence in her new home, she found what was to be another friend too!
You see as Hailee Graham and her husband got Tate home, the neighbor had also adopted a doggie too, the same time, he was called Vernon!
Even though the two properties have a tall fence between them, these two doggies knew that they were the other side of the fence, separated by it…
But to them it did not matter that they were segregated from one another, their heats sang to each other, they were meant to be friends, they slowly grew closer together, anyway they could!
“I walk outside and catch them digging a tunnel to each other. We couldn’t get them to stop …We couldn’t keep them apart. They would just keep digging holes to each other.”
A regular play-date for then seemed like a great idea to Graham, they could have some quality time together without a fence separating them! But these doggies is was not enough, they longed for even more time together!
Like a lightning bolt, Graham has a really great idea, to get them to overcome their anxiety of being apart!
“I thought, ‘Why not just put a door in the fence, so they can play whenever, and their humans don’t have to get involved?'”
Great, they thought, so they did just that!
Tate’s grandpa with Graham’s husband went straight to work, they built a door in the fence, that would allow the two dogs to be together anytime they wanted to be!
Tate was really very excited about it!
These two lovely and close pals are living the dream; together!
“They love being together! ..I don’t know if they are actually in love, but I like to think so.”
This might not work very well for a lot of people, but for Tate and Vernon, it’s an awesome solution!
Graham said finally:
“I hope that it encourages people to be more friendly with their neighbors, and encourage a sense of community …It has worked out well for us so far.”
